Farbige Klänge

In the 1950s the West German advertising film industry took off and Hans Fischerkoesen and his studio became the most successful and well-known producers of advertising and animated films in post-war West Germany. While most of Fischerkoesen’s films are based on cartoons, real objects are utilized for the choreography of Farbige Klänge [Colourful Sounds], an advertising film for radio devices of the so-called Quality Series 1953 made by Siemens. Condensers, tubes, inductors and other components float towards the camera and are assembled by invisible hands into the radio cabinet. “A radio device must not only be technically perfect, it must be optically harmonious and capable of being integrated into any home free of stylish effects.”
